FAQ
Common questions about the Manasource library, its evidence standards, accounts, and tracking.
A public library of health research, paired with an app that turns selected practices into personal tracking, reflection, and visible momentum.
No. The library is public, free, and stays that way. An account only adds the app’s personal layer — saving activity, syncing across devices, and managing settings.
No. Manasource is for information and personal tracking only. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice.
Entries are built on published human research. Open an entry to see its references, the claims they support, and when it was last reviewed. An anecdote can appear as labelled context, but it never feeds a score.
They are two separate values, kept separate on purpose. Effect is how large the reported association is; evidence is how well the research supports it. Neither is rolled into the other, neither is a recommendation, and a value the research does not support is left missing rather than guessed. How the evidence model works.
It is a single 0–10 summary the library uses to tier and order entries at a glance. It is not the evidence rating, and it is not the two evidence values combined — effect and evidence are reported separately on the entry itself, and those are what to read before acting on it.
Reference data, not evidence. Manasource compiles identity records — canonical names and identifiers — from public authorities, each carrying its source’s own attribution. They receive no score, no grade, and no evidence association, and a link between a record and a library resource is an identity match rather than an evidence claim. The records coverage page states what the packaged corpus holds.
The library syncs from a versioned source, and every entry carries a last-reviewed date — so you can always see how fresh an entry is.
It keeps the product’s reasoning inspectable. Practices and resources in the app stay tied to library entries and evidence summaries, not unsupported outcome claims.
Wellness-related activity — habits, nutrition, exercise, sleep, daily rhythm, and intentions — entirely at your discretion.
Buffs are how the app makes sustained patterns visible. They are not medical scores or guarantees — they reflect your logged actions and consistency back to you. Buffs are not science; the data they are built from is.
Yes. Request access, correction, export, or deletion through Manasource support. Some backups, logs, or records may be retained where security, legal, or operational requirements demand it.
The Privacy Policy covers how your data is handled; the Terms of Service set the rules for using the product. Both are linked in the public footer and app settings.
